Who can join LASDRetired.org? Top
It is open to all retired and former members of LASD including sworn, professional staff and reserves.
How do I join LASDRetired.org? Top
You can join by going to the “Join” section and filling out the form and providing all of the necessary information. Once we receive the information and verify it, you will be granted membership to the site.
How do I access the members only section of Lasdretired.org? Top
Once you are approved for membership to the site, all you will need to do is go to the “members only” section, enter your email address and the password that you have chosen and you’re in.
How do I get information posted to LASDRetired.org? Top
In order to have a message posted to all of the members, all you need to do is send your request to moon@lasdretired.org
What is the email service and website? Top
The email service is known as “the list” or the “Moon list”. Moon or one of the other staff of the site sends out daily messages, bereavement notices, medical updates and other items of interest or importance to all those who are members of Lasdretired.org. The mail is delivered to all members via the Google Groups site.
What type of information is posted via the mail service? Top
We post reunion notices, luncheon or dinner notices, class reunions, medical updates on retired members, requests from the Department, bereavement notices, medical updates on members, locates, news information related to retirement issues.
